Garnett Heating & Air was founded in 1957 by John Garnett Jr. Mr. Garnett; a World War II veteran, created the company in order to provide commercial refrigeration & heating service to Fredericksburg businesses & residences. At that time, central air conditioning systems in houses were very rare & the luxury of year round climate control was mostly reserved for downtown department stores & movie theaters.
More than 60 Years of Trusted HVAC Service in the Fredericksburg Community

Shortly after, the Trane Company purchased the General Electric air conditioning division & began mass marketing for residential air conditioning systems.
